The Blue Room Diamond Jubilee Art Competition has really captured the imagination of the local community and The Blue Room have been astounded by the ability of the Nailsea artists – young and old!
There were 3 age groups – 4 to 11 years, 12-18years and adult – each winning £50 worth of artist’s materials with the overall winner winning £100 cash.
Judging took place on Saturday 19 May and assisting Sheila, Amy and Nicola at The Blue Room was well known local artist Terry Bevan, Clare Hunt from Nailsea Town Council and Ian Thompson, representing Nailsea Town Centre.
The winning artist has decided very generously to donate his prize to a local organisation “Springboard” who work with children who have severe difficulties.
Prints of the winning entries are now available from The Blue Room and all proceeds will go to charity. Large prints of the winning entry are £20 and smaller ones £10.
Visit The Blue Room and take a look at all the beautiful work that local artists have produced.
