Ooh la la – shoppers at Crown Glass Shopping Centre in Nailsea will have a chance to watch a Le Roc dancing performance while they shop at the centre – and then try it themselves.
The dance display by the local Nailsea LeRoc group will take place from 11.00 until noon on Saturday August 10 in Somerset Square.
Le Roc is a French jive also known as modern jive, which was brought to the UK in the early 80′s and arrived in Bristol in 1985. It has become increasingly popular over subsequent years. Visit www.nailsealeroc.co.uk for further details.
The dancing display is the latest in a series of special events organised at the Centre, and forms part of a spotlight on Fitness.
Shoppers at the Centre will have the opportunity to watch the troupe performs –and then take part in a ‘taster’ session if they wish.
Group teacher Diana Bath said: “We have been running classes in the Scotch Horn Centre for the past 10 years and are hoping to attract new members with our display at Crown Glass.
“Le Roc is great fun and great exercise, for couples and single people of all ages.”
Crown Glass Shopping Centre’s Kate Cole said: “This is the latest in a series of events to make shopping fun for visitors to the Centre. A couple of months ago shoppers really enjoyed seeing and trying a bellydancing display. We have other events lined up for the remainder of the year too.”
As the dance display is in Somerset Square it is dependent upon dry weather to take place.
