A £250,000 improvement programme to transform the 1970s office block in Crown Glass Place has been carried out, including the installation of new double glazed windows, redecoration of the building exterior and internal common areas, new carpets and a lift.
James Lucas, Crown Glass centre manager, said: “The investment by landlord Ellandi brings the offices right up to date. We will be following up with a series of other improvements to the Shopping Centre as part of an ongoing programme to attract new tenants and shoppers to the centre, and to the town as a whole.”
Specialist shopping centre investment and asset manager Ellandi acquired the Crown Glass Shopping Centre in 2009 in partnership with Development Securities plc. The company specialises in transforming shopping centres into buoyant venues at the heart of their local communities.
It recently announced the introduction of free, high-speed public Wi-Fi at Crown Glass Shopping Centre. The service will allow customers to use free Wi-Fi on their smartphones and tablets to browse the web, use apps and check social networking sites.
Crown Glass already hosts regular events as well as supporting local and national charities. It also plays host to a Tuesday Market each week and to the monthly Nailsea Farmers’ Market and Craft Market and recently hosted the launch of a Nailsea focused loyalty card.
“We have exciting plans for improvements and new events that will put Nailsea firmly on the map for shoppers in the area,” said James.
